Obituary of Theodore Roosevelt Ramey

Ted Ramey Jr. 75 of Weber City went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 2, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Scott Co. Virginia to the late Ted R. Ramey Sr. and wife Elsie. Ted served his country in the Army and the National Guard for over 10 years during his service he was the recipient of a Bronze Star for his heroism during a natural disaster. Ted was a retired truck driver and during his retirement he especially enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by infant brother, Wayne Ramey; infant sisters, Norma and Joyce Ramey; brother-in-law, E.G. McGlothlin; niece, Sheila Skeens; fiancé, Margaret Hall. Survivors include his sister, Shirley McGlothlin; nephew Chris McGlothlin; great-niece, Brandy Fanning; great-great niece, Sierra Fanning; special grandchildren, Nathan Hall, Debra Hall, April Hall, Justin Hall and wife Christie; along with several cousins and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Ralph Owens officiating. A military graveside will be conducted at 1pm on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Temple Hill Cemetery in Castlewood with American Legion Hammond Post #3/265 conducting the honors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50pm. Carter Trent/Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Ramey Family.
