Obituary of Patty Sue Powell

Kingsport – Patty Sue Necessary Powell, 68 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Holston Valley Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walker and Dorothy Hartsock Necessary.

Patty is survived by her husband of 51 years, Carl Powell; sons, Carl Powell and John Powell; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; sister, Teresa; brothers, Johnny, Jimmy and Cecil; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport.

A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
