Obituary of Lorraine Frances Hess Derrick

         Lorraine Frances Hess Derrick, 67, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord, Monday, April 16, 2018. She was born in Kingsport on March 8, 1951 to the late L.C. Phillips and Alma Frances Derrick. She was a graduate of Church Hill High School in 1972.        

        Along with her parents she is preceded in death by brother, Tommy Paul Derrick; and step father, John (JB) Barnett.

        Lorraine is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Crawford and husband Ricky; brother, Gene Derrick and wife Teresa; sister in law, Lola Derrick; special niece and caregiver, Frances Dykes; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

        The family will receive friends on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Carter Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill from 5pm to 7pm. A funeral service will follow with Rev. Clifford Cole and Rev. Rex McMurray officiating.

        A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 2pm at Old Union Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Clifford Cole and Rev. Rex McMurray officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1pm to go in procession. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
