Obituary of Dorothy Maxine Bell

Kingsport – Maxine Dorothy Bell, 89 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning April 22, 2018 following a brief illness. She was born in Michigan but spent most of her life in Kingsport. Maxine was a homemaker who loved to sew, work in her flowers, cooking and reading. She was of the baptist faith and attended Bible Way Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hoard and Maggie Spradling; sister, Ann Minton; son-in-law, David Wells.

Maxine is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Fayne Bell; daughter, Lois Wells; son, Jimmy Bell and wife Sandra; grandchildren, Billy Wells and wife Kristy and Misty King and husband Kevin; great-grandchildren, Mason, Konor and Kealy King and Emily Wells; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home.

A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Rick Vanoy officiating.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Gunnings Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:55 a.m.
