Obituary of Harold Eugene Rector

Harold Rector, 93, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord Thursday, June 7, 2018 at his residence.

He was born on January 22, 1925 to the late Herbert and Laura Rector in Saltville, Virginia. He served his country during WWII for the United States Army. He was employed as an electrician for Holston Defense for over 34 years before his retirement.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Frances Rector; brother, Herbert; and sisters, Iva, Sybil, and Frances.

Harold is survived by his son, Danny Rector (Ann); daughter, Patty Minor; grandchildren, Monica (Tommy), Kendra (Joey), Gretchen, Josh (Ashley), Matthew (Heaven), and Rachel; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Bygie; brothers, Roscoe and Raymond; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 5pm to 7pm at Carter Trent Funeral Home, Downtown Kingsport.

A graveside service will be held at Holston View Cemetery on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 2pm with Rev. Mike Driver officiating. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Hammond Post #3/265. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:45pm. His Grandsons will serve as pallbearers
