Obituary of Billie Joyce Steffie

Billie J. Steffie 66, of Gate City went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Holston Valley Medical Center. She was of the Baptist faith and was a Godly woman. Billie enjoyed working in her garden and her beloved pets. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend to all who knew her.

Billie was preceded in death by her mother, Lorrie Willis; sister, Dreama Boyd; brother, Carl Ray Willis.

Survivors include her loving husband of 32 years, Eddie Steffie; son, John Steffie; sisters, Janice Wells and Sally Price; brothers, Don Willis, Robert Willis, and Coleman Willis; along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of  beloved friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Scott County Funeral Home from 5pm to 7pm. A funeral service will follow in the chapel with Pastor Floyd Ward officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11am on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the Henry Family Cemetery with James Steffey, Clayton Steffey, Ryan Ward, Garney Boyd, Jeff Woods, and Doug Woods serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50am.
