Obituary of Meredith Haga Fox
Meredith Haga Fox 25, of Richmond went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Meredith grew up on Stoneridge Farm in Bristol where she was an avid equestrian and animal lover. She attended St. Anne’s Catholic School in Bristol before graduating from Virginia Episcopal School in Lynchburg, VA. Meredith went on to attend and graduate with honors from Sweet Briar College. In 2012, Meredith received a kidney transplant, which instilled a passion of advocating for organ donation. Even through her passing she continues to help others by being an organ donor. Meredith was a loving wife, daughter, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her loving grandmother, Nancy Haga; loving grandfather, Gordon Blessing.
Survivors include her loving husband, Tanner Fox; parents, Bruce Blessing and Allyson Haga; father, David Haga; grandfather, Harry Haga; grandmother, Jean Blessing; brothers,Daniel Blessing and wife Jennifer, Matthew Blessing and wife Morgan; sisters, Brooke Blessing and Virginia Haga; nieces, Olivia, Caroline, and Isabella; beloved pet, Goose; along with a host of extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 4pm to 7pm at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Rev. Caleb Frazier officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11am on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Stoneridge Cemetery with Matt Blessing, Daniel Blessing, Zach Fox, Scott Jenkins, John Dekarski, and Eric Smith serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 9:45 am to go in procession to the cemetery.
