Obituary of Lillian Herron Thompson

Lillian Herron Thompson 76, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Lillian was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Mary Herron; brother, Jack Herron; sisters, Margie Gilliam, Evelyn Gentry, Barbara Jean Jones, and Dorothy Huff.

Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, Earl Thompson; son, Roger Thompson; daughter, Sandra Dawn; grandchildren, Erika and Preston Thompson, Nathan Wampler, and Mikayla Shaffer; brother, Buddy Herron; sister, Faye Thompson; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 5pm to 7pm at Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown, Kingsport.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11am on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at East Lawn Memorial Park with Bro. Freddie Huff officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:15am to go in procession.
