Obituary of Carolyn Starnes

Carolyn Ann (Eldridge) Castle Starnes, age 67, of Kingsport, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018 and is now with her Heavenly father and her precious mother.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Eldridge; mother, Betty Ruth (Woodrow Wilson) Dean; sisters, Eva Jean (Buddy) Green; 2 brothers, Gary and Jack Eldridge; and sister-in-law, Mary Godsey Dean.

She is survived by her husband, Chris Starnes of the home; daughter, Caroline (BJ) Collins; son, Freddy Lee Castle; granddaughters, Ashlynn Carter and Kaitlynn Sturgill; grandson, Austin Castle; great-grandson, Noah Castle;  sisters, Linda (Larry) Dean. Debbie (Tom) Smith, Rebecca Drinks, Sheila Hickok, Elizabeth Mills, Peggy Dorton, Sandra Joyner, Barbara Peters and Pam Odinero; brothers, Gary Dean, Scottie (Jody) Dean, Kermit (Cathy) Dean, Roger Eldridge and Ronald Eldridge; along with several nieces and nephews.

Carolyn’s wishes were to be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in downtown Kingsport with Pastor Guy Elam and Pastor Mitch Russell officiating.
