Obituary of LaRhonda Bonita Robinson

Kingsport – LaRhonda Bonita Robinson, 51, of Kingsport, peacefully passed away Friday (August 24, 2018) at Indian Path Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

LaRhonda was born December 11, 1966 in Kingsport, Tennessee to Thelma Jean Robinson and John Paul Robinson. LaRhonda accepted Christ at an early age. She was a dedicated member of Mt. Zion Tabernacle and graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School and attended St. Augustine’s University in Raleigh, NC.

Rhonda truly lived life to the fullest through being a provider for her daughter, Genesis, and enjoyed simple pleasures such as spending time with friends and family, cooking, and traveling. She loved to open her home to family and friends for her home-cooked meals. Her passion was knowing the word of God, she loved to read her bible and pray for and with others.

During her sickness, she continued to say “We fight on”.

LaRhonda is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Mildred and Luther Hardy; aunts, Arbell Roper, Catherine Goodwin, and Claudia Maxwell; and an uncle, Roy Hardy.

LaRhonda is survived by her daughter, Genesis Robinson; brothers, Michael Knight, Anthony Knight, and Antonio Hardy; sister, Jonya Sensabaugh (Gerald Sensabaugh Sr.); along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends 1 – 2 pm Saturday (September 1, 2018) at Central Baptist Church, a funeral service to follow with Bishop Lester Turner, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for her daughter, Genesis, by point of contact Jonya Sensabaugh.

Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport, is serving the Robinson family.
