Obituary of Edward Hall

Edward Hall 86, of Nickelsville, VA went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 30, 2018. He was a lifelong resident of Scott County and loved the outdoors. ED was an avid fisherman, hunter, trapper, and gardener.

He was preceded in death by his parents Rev. John Hall and Sallie E. Comer Hall; six brothers; four sisters.

Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Synthia Lee Hall; daughters, Judy McConnell and husband Mike, Brenda Richardson, Sue Burke and husband Ricky, Helen Lawson and husband Jeff, Patricia Smith; son, Danny Hall and wife Kim; grandchildren, Kelly McConnell, Dale McConnell, Jason Dotson (Tiffany), Rebecca Burke, Pam Burke, Lacy Mann (Jamie), Tessa Odle (Landon), Courtney Quillen (Nathaniel), Sara Sluss (Garrett), and Hunter Hall (Carla); seven great-grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Scott County Funeral Home from 12pm to 1pm. A funeral service will follow with Rev. G.W. White and Pastor Donnie Archer officiating. Music will be provided by Dave, Deb, and the Boys.

 A graveside service will follow at Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, VA with Nathaniel Quillen, Garrett Sluss, Jamie Mann, Dale McConnell, Kelly McConnell, and Ricky Kiser will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Gladstone “Stoney” Fuller, Willie White, and Adam White.
