Obituary of Bob Puckett

Kingsport – Bob Clifford Puckett, 85 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at his residence following a brief illness.

 

Born in St Paul, VA he had been a resident of Kingsport since 1948. He was retired from Flavor Rich Dairies following 43 years of service. Bob was a member of Oak Drive Mission Church.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Hobbs Puckett; his parents, George and Reathie Flanary Puckett; sister, Pauline Edmonds; brothers, Carter Meade, Lester Puckett, Vince Willard Puckett, George Puckett, Eugene Puckett and Leroy Puckett.

 

Bob is survived by his sons, Wayne Puckett and wife Betty, Larry Puckett and wife Vanessa and Terry Puckett and wife Tonnie; brother, Lincoln Puckett; grandchildren, Brad Puckett and girlfriend Charlotte, Marli Maxwell and husband Scotty, Alex Brickey, Jeremy Taylor and Landon Taylor and wife Kristy; great-grandchildren, Skyler, Haiden and Ezra; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport.

 

A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Danny Walker officiating.

 

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Holston View Cemetery in Weber City. Pallbearers will be Larry Puckett, Terry Puckett, Wayne Puckett, Brad Puckett, Jeremy Taylor and Landon Taylor. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1 p.m. to go in procession to the cemetery.
