Obituary of Burl E. Williams
Burl E. Williams 76, of Church Hill went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Asbury House with his family by his side. Burl was a member of Weber City Church of God and was saved fourteen years ago. He drove a truck for Vulcan Materials Co. from 1967 to 1992 and was a full time farmer, husband, and father. Burl was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish.
Burl was preceded in death by his parents David and Maggie Williams; brothers, Donald and Ralph Williams; sister, Janice Williams.
Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Rosa Williams; daughters, Debbie Johnson, Mary Ann Bundren, Tammy Thacker, Tina Clabo and husband Eddie, and Jessica McKinney and husband Mitch; brother, Darryl Williams; sister, Edith Neikirk; 10 grandchildren, Robert Henley, Travis Presley, Kenny Ferrell, Logan Thacker, Khelsea Thacker, Eddie Clabo, Sapphire Clabo, Corbin, Tallen, and Emsley; 9 great-grandchildren, Ethan, Jacob, Audrey, Devan, Addie, Haley, Nathan, Wendell, and Kaiden; special buddy, Ellie Mae; along with a host of friends and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Kyle Falin and Pastor Raymond Hammond officiating. Music will be provided by the Collins family. The family will also receive friends anytime at their residence.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1pm on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Hawkins County Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:15pm to go in procession.
