Obituary of Homer Dail Rodgers
Blountville – Homer Dail Rodgers, 92 of Blountville, went to be with the Lord on January 24, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County, a retired farmer and a member of Holstein Friesian Association of America. Dail was a member of Cassidy United Methodist Church and the Whiteside Masonic Lodge #13.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Wolford Rodgers; daughter, Peggy Rodgers Lester; granddaughter, Lauren Dale Good.
Dail is survived by his daughters, Patsy Rodgers Ford and husband Jerry, Margaret Rodgers Moore and Rebecca Rodgers Good and husband Danny; grandchildren, Susan Arnold (Mike), Dail Blalock (Katie), Stephanie Stewart, Elizabeth Graham (David), Stephen Swift (Nicole), Scott Swift (Kelly), Whitney Sears (Ray) and Bradley Good (Whitney); several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Cassidy United Methodist Church with Pastor Tom Hancock and Chaplain Mike Driver officiating.
Burial will follow in Roller Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Ford, Danny Good, Brad Good, Dail Blalock, Steve Swift and Scott Swift.
