Obituary of Ruth King

Church Hill – Ruth Fay King, 90 of Church Hill, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Born in Port Clinton, Ohio, she had lived in Church Hill for most of her life. She was a member of Primitive Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer King; her sons, Archie King and David King; her daughters, Stella Fields and Joyce Hall; parents, Walter and Matilda McMurray Taylor.

Ruth is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Hayes and husband Steve and Kathy Kiff (Melodie); sons, Kenneth and wife Geneva and Walter Gray; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2019 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill.

A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Leonard Davis officiating.

Burial will follow in Ross Campground Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
