Obituary of Shirley Jones

Kingsport-  Shirley Jones, 74, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Saturday morning (April 27, 2019).  She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport.  Shirley was a very faithful and longtime member of Apostolic Lighthouse Church.  The most important things in her life were her family and her church family.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John Jones; her parents, Sebern and Lillian Baker.

Shirley Jones is survived by her loving sister, Betty Baker; children, Johnny Jones, Becky Dean and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Tara Williamson and husband, Pete, Melanie Morris, Sarah Beth Morris, Julie McKinney, Olivia Carty, Lilly Morris; special grandchildren, Jessica Smith and Cruz Burgess along with her great grandchildren, John, Ethan, Easton, Evelyn, and Audrey.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday (April 30, 2019) from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Apostolic Lighthouse Church or friends may also call anytime at her residence.  A funeral service will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday (April 30, 2019) at the church with Pastor David Peters and Jonathan Peters officiating.  A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday (May 1, 2019) at 11 a.m. at Church Hill Memory Gardens with family serving as pallbearers.  Family and friends attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 a.m. to go in procession.
