Obituary of Mary Frances Massengill
MARY FRANCES MASSENGILL
Kingsport- Mary Frances Massengill, 75, of Kingsport, went home to be with her Heavenly father on Friday (May 10, 2019) at Holston Valley Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and was a wonderful homemaker. Mary was a member of Victory Tabernacle Pentecostal Church. Mary truly loved her church and her church family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Massengill; a son, Charles Massengill; parents, James and Mattie Hutchins; her brother, James (Pete) Hutchins; sisters, Arbuta Church and Phyllis Akers.
Mary Massengill is survived by her brothers, Thomas I. Hutchins and wife, Renie May, Jimmy L. Hutchins and wife, Judy; sisters, Nancy E. Chapman and Vicki Siegler who was very dedicated in helping during her time of need; a beloved relative, Linda Hutchins along with several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will take place on Tuesday (May 14, 2019) from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Victory Tabernacle Pentecostal Church. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. at the church on Tuesday (May 14, 2019) at 1 p.m. with Pastor Donald Madden, officiating. Music will be provided by True Faith Quartet. A graveside service will follow the funeral service on Tuesday (May 14, 2019) at East Lawn Memorial Park with family and friends serving as pallbearers. A special thank you goes out to the Cardiac Unit at Holston Valley and also to Vernon Kerns, RN for the special care given to Mary.
