Family,
I rejoice with you for Dan’s flight home. Many fond memories come to mind of Dan’s faithful service to the Lord, his deep commitment to the mission of the Church, his beautiful voice that allowed us to worship God, and his winning smile. He is receiving the reward of his faithful life. May God bless you with the assurances of His Word and comfort of His Spirit.

This man tought alot of people, including myself, very valuable lessons that i will never forget. Since 9th grade, I have a plan for everything i want to accomplish because he knew if he did not pound it into my head, I would not have listened. Thank you, Mr. Bullion.

Dear Patsy and Fritz, I was so sorry to hear of your loss just a few minutes ago! I saw the obituary on Facebook. I don’t receive the paper anymore. I just realized Claude had known him for many years! He thought very highly of him! He knew him from Eastman and the singing community. He would have been sad to hear this but now he is probably seeing him in our blessed destination! Praising the Lord!
May bless all of you!

Dear Dixie, Ginger, Trevor, and Misty,
I just received word of Dan's passing and although I've been gone for a very long time, his influence on my life and my memories of him (and you all) have continued to stay with me. I am grateful for the time that I was privileged to serve with him in church leadership and thankful to have had him as a friend and all of you all as one of my adopted families.
Even though this is a time of loss for us, I'm certain that there's a group in heaven that is thrilled to have him with them as they've been looking forward to his great stories, infectious laughter, and songs!
I pray that God will comfort and strengthen you all today and in the days to come with great memories, with friends and family, and with His presence.
Blessings!
Tim

Mr Bullion taught me everything I know in the machine shop trade, his passion for teaching and the interest he showed in students like me is why I currently have a 34 year career in this trade. He was like a father to me and I will never forget him or the memories made in his class. Mr Bullion I love you my dear friend, our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. I feel lucky to have known Dan. Not just my instrument flight instructor, he was also a good friend. He had a generous spirit and a gift for encouraging people he knew. Happy flying up there, Dan.

Mr. Bullion impacted my life more then any other teacher I ever had. Having Mr. Bullion as a teacher each 4 years at David Crockett High School. was not my only interaction with him. I also had him as a flight instructor. We spent hours together in small planes and in his own personal plane. His name is even in my logbook as he signed my off to take my check ride for my Private Pilots License. I wanted to let the family know I am saddened to learn of his passing. We will pray for you all as you grieve his passing.

My words can never adequately convey the incredible impact that Mr. J. Dan Bullion has had on my life. If not for Mr. Bullion I don’t know where I’d be today. He was a mentor to me back in high school, but even more than probably even he knew. He helped me and my family when my granddad died back on 2003, and has ever been a positive influence in my life. He was certainly my favorite singer, and will always be. He was my teacher, mentor, singer, and hero. I’m deeply saddened at his passing, but I know by the grace of God I will see him again! My prayers are with his family.

My family and I owe an eternal gratitude to Pastor Dan. During his 7 years at the First Church of God in Johnson City, we came to know Christ and was baptized. The seeds of ministry was sown in my heart there and later I would enter ministry where I’ve been now for the past 23 years. There are many in Heaven rejoicing today and there will be others to come because of Pastor’s faithfulness to the Gospel. Thank you seems so paltry but it’s the best way I know to express my gratitude. May God’s grace and comfort surround you.
