Obituary of Carl Qualls, Sr.

Kingsport - Carl Thomas Qualls, Sr. 85 of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center following an extended illness. He had been a resident of Brookhaven Manor for the past 7 years. Carl was born in Scott County, VA and was a retired concrete finisher

He was preceded in death by his wife, Aline Potts Qualls and his brother, Bruce Qualls.

Carl is survived by his son, Carl Qualls, Jr. and wife Mary; his step-children, Charmaine Mortensen, Barbara Cline and Richard Sheehan; grandson, Seth Qualls and wife Brittany.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2019 at Scott County Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Rhoton Family Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:55 a.m.
