Obituary of Betty June Williams

Betty June Williams , 88 went to be with the Lord July 30, 2019 at Colfax Union Nursing and Rehabilitation Center , Colfax, LA after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s.

Betty was born on January 23, 1931 and grew up in Sulphur Springs/Harmony community in Washington county. Graduated from Sulphur Springs High School & Whitney school of business, Kingsport. Shortly after moving to Kingsport she met the love of her life, Raymond Williams an artist & married September 1, 1950. 

Along with her parents Alta Lochiel Chase & Earnest Wheelock , she is proceeded in death by husband, Raymond L. Williams; son, Jerome “Jerry” L. Williams; brothers: Wilbur , Robert & Burdette Wheelock . 

Betty is survived by her son, Scott  Williams, daughter, Penny Williams Hayes and beautiful granddaughter, Macy Elizabeth Hayes .

The family will receive friends from 11-12 on Saturday, August 3rd at Carter Trent Funeral Home, Downtown Kingsport .A funeral service will follow with Pastor Bob Yates officiating. A graveside service will follow the funeral service at Oak hill memorial park. 

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Betty’s memory to Southview Community church of the Nazarene, 1235 Moreland dr Kingsport TN 37664 or Hope Haven  PO Box 7152 Kingsport TN 37660 ,Alzheimer’s Association-TN Chapter  ALZ.ORG or Charity of your choice
