Obituary of Vivian Rasnick Redwine
Gate City – Vivian Rasnick Redwine, 95 of Gate City, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center. She was a member of Salley’s Chapel Baptist Church. Vivian was an avid quilter and was a member of the Scott County Homemaker’s Club. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Redwine; sister, Mae Parks; brothers, Hank Rasnick and John Rasnick.
Vivian is survived by her sons, John Redwine and wife Alice and David Redwine and wife Jodi; brother, Doyle Rasnick and wife Linda; grandchildren, John Cole Redwine, Lindsey Smith and husband Ryan, Kelsey Black and husband Gavin and Lendon Redwine; great-grandchild, Lane Smith; several nieces and nephews; special neighbors, Bill and Mary McConnell.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm Monday, August 5, 2019 at Scott County Funeral Home in Weber City.
A funeral service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor George Winegar officiating. Music will be provided by the Davidson Sisters.
A graveside service will be held at 1 pm Tuesday at Holston View Cemetery. Music will be provided by Jane Winkle. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:15 pm to go in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Cole Redwine, Gavin Black, Lendon Redwine, Ryan Smith, Rhea McConnell and Michael McConnell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Scott County Humane Society or to the donor’s choice.
