There was, is, and never will be anyone like my Mamaw Arlena. She was a feisty, beautiful, kind, passionate, sweets and animal loving, gun supporting, God fearing woman who loved her family fiercely. My heart aches in my grief although I know she is rejoicing by her Savior’s feet. Because of this woman I love music, nature, animals, fudge, and the truth. I will miss her every day until the day I go home, too.

Aunt Arlena & my Daddy (Paul Ashworth), shared their love of music with us all. Now they are in heaven together, & this song keeps coming to my mind. We always miss our loved ones who have gone on. A neighbor sent our family a card when Daddy passed away in 1975, at the age of 39. It reminded me that when our loved ones go on to be with Jesus, & then we stay close to the Lord... then we are not ever far apart. This thought has bought me comfort for decades & I pray it helps you all, too. There is a better home waiting for us... in the presence of Jesus.
Will the Circle Be Unbroken
I was standing by my window,
On one cold and cloudy day
When I saw that hearse come rolling
For to carry my mother away
Will the circle be unbroken
By and by, lord, by and by
There's a better home a-waiting
In the sky, lord, in the sky
I said to that undertaker
Undertaker please drive slow
For this lady you are carrying
Lord, I hate to see her go
Will the circle be unbroken
By and by, lord, by and by
There's a better home a-waiting
In the sky, lord, in the sky...

Aunt Arlena wrote this memorial for her great-nephew Chad Hensley, our son, who passed away at 36. I know he will be there to greet her, & thank her for the comforting poem she gave to us in 2015. Her own words can bring comfort to all of us forevermore. I know it helped us so much, when we needed it most.
When I escape this cage of strife
So filled with pain and scarred by life.
Above the clouds on high I'll soar
To be with my Lord forevermore.
All my loved ones who have gone on
Will meet me there around the throne.
Face to face that day I'll see
The Holy One who died for me.

Sherry and Anice: Shirley and I want you to know that we are thinking about you and that we love you deeply. It is hard to find words to express our feelings for this profound loss. We both love Arlena and we know that she loved us. We are so grateful for that last visit we had with her and will always treasure her and you. With love, Katie and Shirley

We know Arlie & Laura Ashworth, along with my Daddy, Paul Ashworth have been waiting a long time to complete their 'immediate' family. The 'Circle is Unbroken' by & by. We all look forward to the day, when we can join the sweetest people we know in the light & love of Jesus. We all love you... Rest in Peace.
