Obituary of Arlena Grace Light

Kingsport – Arlena Grace Ashworth Light, 86 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the home of her daughter. She enjoyed reading and being with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Light; her parents, Arlie and Laura Carter Ashworth; brother, Paul Ashworth; great-grandson, Logan Quillen.

Arlena is survived by her daughter, Sherry Page and husband Jackie Lee Page; grandchildren, Vickie Austin and husband Tommy, Jackie Page II and Shanna Quillen and husband Brad; several great-grandchildren; special cousin, Anice Barnard; 2 nieces and 1 nephew.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport.

A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Johnny Gibson officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2019 at Holston View Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:45 p.m. Pallbearers will be Hunter Blakley, Ben Blakley, Shane Austin, Jay Page, Brad Quillen and Blake Hammitt.
