Obituary of Everette Phillip Manis

Everette Phillip Manis, 78, of Longwood, FL, left for his heavenly home on Thursday, October 24, 2019 with family by his side. He was born Monday, April 7, 1941 in Pennington Gap, VA to the late Thomas Jefferson Manis and Blanche Edith Manis, and was raised in the Kingsport, Tennessee area.

Everette was Worshipful Master of Mokanna Lodge 329 in Orlando, FL. He was a retired over-the-road truck driver and a loving, proud family man. He enjoyed fishing, boating and attending his grandchildren’s sports events. He loved his family deeply.

Everette is survived by his wife of 50 years, Brenda Cleek Manis, his three daughters Tammy L. Elliott, Christina D. Bowmar, and Misty M. Astacio (husband Fernando). Everette has six grandchildren Phillip Avery Bowmar, Alyssa McKenzie Bowmar, Austin Chandler Bowmar, Autumn Joy Bowmar, Ciara Marie Astacio and Carli Joy Astacio. He is also survived by his two sisters, many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.

Graveside services will be held Friday, November 1, 2019 at 1:30pm at Oak Hill Cemetery in Kingsport, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to your favorite charity in his memory.
