Obituary of Evelyn Marie Hickman Arnold

Evelyn Marie Hickman Arnold went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 31, 2019. Evelyn loved the Lord and her family with all her heart, she also loved to sing and share her faith with others. Evelyn was married to the love of her life John Arnold for 62 years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her son, Scottie Lee; parents, Charles “Tobe” and Rose Hickman;  sisters, Nannie Hickman, Leah Couch, Lois Ryans; brother, Govin Hickman.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her son, Ronnie Arnold; daughter, Conethia Tipton and husband David; one brother, Jerry Hickman; one sister, Rita Hickman; grandchildren, Eric, Nakisha, Matt, Shasta, Brittany, and Hannah; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Scottlund, Allison, Rileigh, Brooke, Kayla, Graylee, Taylor, Ada, and Carson; along with several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Sunday, November 3, 2019, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. The family will also receive friends anytime at Mr. Arnold’s residence.

A funeral service will be conducted at 12pm on Monday, November 4, 2019, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill with Bishop Hagan Webb and Thomas Benton officiating. Graveside services will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park with Eric and Matt Arnold, Jonathan and Tyler Doran, Brandon Sowers, Nathaniel Akers, and David Tipton serving as pallbearers.
