Obituary of Marcella Louise Babb Cavin

Marcella Louise Babb Cavin, 74 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 8, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center following a brief illness. Born in Ft Blackmore, VA she had lived most of her life in Kingsport. She attended New Beginnings Free Will Baptist Church.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Elvie Hall Babb; sons, Eddie Bear and Darrin Cavin; several sisters and brothers; infant grandson, Jeremy Cavin.

 

Marcella is survived by her husband and lifelong soulmate, Claude Cavin; children, Willie (Tonia) Bear, Doug Bear, Rhonda (Dwight) Minnick, Tony (Patti) Cavin and Danny (Julie) Cavin; daughter-in-law Cathy Cavin; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth (Virgil) Arnold; brother, Jack Babb; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at New Beginnings FWB Church, 184 Morning Star Road, Church Hill, TN.

 

A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the church with Pastor Steve Alley officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Old Kingsport Cemetery (Mary Street, Kingsport). Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:45 p.m. Pallbearers will be Micah Green, Jeff Begley, Randy Steckley, Phillip Williams, Dwight Minnick, Tommy McNutt, Tony Cavin and Danny Cavin..
