Obituary of Betty Blankenbeckler Easterling

Betty Blankenbeckler Easterling, 87, of Nicklesville passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at her residence.

Betty was born in Scott County, VA to the late George Washington and Mae (Richards) Blankenbeckler. She was retired from Quebecor in 1996 after 33 Years of service. She spent her remaining years working in the yard, taking care of the house, sewing, and taking care of her family and friends.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Blankenbeckler and Kate Bradshaw; and brothers, Massie, Charlie, and Kenneth Blankenbeckler.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 68 years, C.L. Easterling; sons, David Easterling and wife Betty, of Knoxville, TN and Bill Easterling and spouse Bobby Blair of Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Chris Easterling of Knoxville, TN, Tracy and husband Michael Guadi of West Palm Beach, FL; great grandchildren, Beth Noon of Asheville, NC, and Alana Guadi of West Palm Beach, FL; sister, Rose Ann Carter and husband Perry of Kingsport, TN; brother, Rev. Buford Blankenbeckler of Hiltons, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 5PM to 7PM at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Steve Collins officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 11AM on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Holston View Cemetery with Pastor Steve Collins officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50AM. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Guadi, Bobby Blair, Chris Easterling, Eddie Dingus, and Fred Easterling.
