Obituary of James Howard "J.H." Isley, Jr.

Mt Carmel – James Howard “J.H.” Isley, Jr., 72 of Mt Carmel, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at his residence following a lengthy illness. Born in Kingsport, he had lived in Mt Carmel for 10 years. James was owner of Isley and Sons Garbage Service. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Isley, Sr. and Rosie Robinson Isley.

James is survived by his children, Huston Arnold Isley and wife Theresa, Jim Isley and wife Angelina, Tim Isley and wife Jessica; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 2 sisters; 3 brothers; several nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport.

A funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor William Gibson officiating. Music will be provided by True Faith Quartet.

Burial will be private.
