Obituary of Ava Sue Fleenor

Kingsport – Ava Sue Boggs Fleenor, 68 of Kingsport, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Indian Path Community Hospital following a brief illness. Ava was a 1972 graduate of Ketron High School and a 1973 graduate of Kingsport School of Cosmetology. She was a member of Bays Mountain Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Ava enjoyed gospel music, traveling and being with her family, church family and friends. She dearly loved her Lord and Savior.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Avis and Ruth Stanley Boggs.

She is survived by her two sons Kevin Fleenor (Tonya Noe) of Abingdon, Va. And Chris Fleenor of Kingsport, TN; granddaughter Cassie Fleenor of Bristol, TN; sister Kathy (Richard) Hunsaker of Kingsport, TN; brothers Rod Boggs of Kingsport, TN and David Boggs of Kingsport, TN; uncle Charles Stanley of Irwin, PA; several nieces and nephews; special cousin Darlene Jennings of Kingsport, TN; special sisters-in-law; church family and close friends.

The family will receive friends from 10 am until 12 pm Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home.

A funeral service will follow at 12 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tim Nelson officiating. Music will be provided by Charles and Nancy Senior.

Burial will follow at Holston View Cemetery in Weber City, Va. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
