Obituary of Richard L. "Nick" Beason

Richard L. "Nick" Beason, age 72, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Christian Care in Blountville. 

 Nick was born August 2, 1947, in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. He was the son of the late Charles and Dorothy Deboard Beason.

In addition to his parents, Nick was preceded in death by brother, Kenneth Beason; sister, Doris Vaughn; sister, Susie Mullins; brother, Sam Beason. 

He was a U.S Army veteran. He was a member of Valley View Baptist Church.

Nick had over thirty-seven years of service to Norfolk Southern Railroad.

Survivors include: daughter, Christie Beason Robinson and her daughters, Brooke and Taylor Robinson; daughter, Brandi Beason Dean and her son, Logan Alley; two sisters, Joyce Vaughn and Debbie Gilley; three brothers, Benny, Tommy and Robbie Beason.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Caris Health Care for the wonderful care given to Mr. Beason.

The family of Richard L. "Nick" Beason will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at Scott County Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 pm with Rev. Jack Edwards officiating.
