Obituary of Roger D. Golden

Mr. Roger D. Golden, 68, of Surgoinsville, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at the Holston Valley Medical Center.

Roger was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. He was the son of the late Rod Golden and Irene Caldwell Hawkins.

He was owner and operator of Golden Trucking and Excavating. Roger was a member of Bethel Apostolic Church. He loved his camp ground friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step father, Charles Hawkins and brother, Rick Golden.

Survivors include his wife of eighteen years, Teresa Darnell Golden; two daughters, April Fry and Rhonda Madison and her husband, Tony; one son, James N. Golden and his wife Kelly; step children, Heather and Justine; one brother, Ronnie Golden and his wife Judy; one sister, Angie Gibson and her husband Jeff; four grandchildren, Joshua, Tyra, Dante and Haley; several other grandchildren; four great grandchildren, Adriel, Abigail, Ezrah and Teddy; best friend and brother in Christ, Mike Street.

The family of Mr. Roger D. Golden will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Friday, December 27, 2019, at Bethel Apostolic Church. The funeral service will follow at 7 pm with Lynn Keys and Rick Collins officiating. The family will have a private graveside service.
