Obituary of Patricia Ann Tipton

Gate City – Patricia Ann Darnell Tipton, 63 of Gate City, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at Indian Path Medical Center surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Darnell; and Shirley Darnell who was like a mother to her as well; an infant son; infant sister, Donna.

Left to cherish Trisha’s memory, is her fiancé, Ricky Akers; father, Sid Darnell; daughter, Lorie Murray and husband Burk; son, Scottie Tipton and fiancé, Susan Davis; grandchildren, Andrea, Alexia and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Oliver and Adeline; sisters, Helen Blair and husband Larry, Debra Ownby and Michelle Berry; special niece, April Trent; special nurse, Tammy Templeton; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Scott County Funeral Home. Family and friends may also call anytime at the home of the granddaughter, Andrea.

A celebration of life service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Gary Hunley and Rev. Melburn Farmer officiating.
