Obituary of Sullivan Lawrence Davis

“Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Matt. 19:14

On December 29th, 2019, Heaven became an even better place when Jesus folded His arms around 3-year-old Sullivan Lawrence Davis. Sullivan had a wonderful Christmas and the smile that graced his face all year shone even brighter during this magical time of the year. Sullivan loved to play with his twin brother, Bond and he cherished the attention of his big sister, 7-year-old Anna Ruth, who was Sissy to him. Sullivan loved books, puzzles, swinging on the swing set his dad built for him, and asking Alexa to play Imagine Dragons. He loved Sunday School at the Colonial Heights Christian Church, but perhaps more than anything he loved to smile because he was a happy boy; and, it is that smile that is the hardest thing to let go but the most precious memory of all.

Sullivan was preceded into heaven by his grandmother Mimi Suz, who at last could enfold her grandbaby in loving arms, surrounded by a host of other loving family who had gone on before.

Sullivan leaves behind his loving parents, Clint and Missy; his constant companion, twin brother Bond and his doting sister, Anna Ruth. His grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends will miss his sweet smile and loving ways that will inspire them for the rest of their lives. We pray that Sullivan’s spirit will live on in each of us and God will bless the memory of his brief presence in our lives.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Colonial Heights Christian Church in Kingsport, TN. Visitation will be from 1pm-2pm, with the memorial service immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Children’s Ministry at Colonial Heights Christian Church, 105 Meadow Lane, Kingsport, TN 37663 and/or the Friends of Colonial Heights Library, 149 Pactolus Road, Kingsport, TN 37663.
