Obituary of Edward "Ed" Ward

Mr. Edward “Ed” Ward, 76, of Church Hill, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2020, in the Indian Path Hospital.

Ed was a lifelong resident of Church Hill. He was the son of the late George and Betty Simpson Ward.

He retired from Keplar Elementary School.

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by five siblings.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-five years, Eleanor Goad Ward; two daughters, Tammy Ward “Stuffle” and Charlene Ward; one sister, Minnie Staples; one grandson, Justin Ward and his wife Amanda; two great grandchildren, Hank and Waylon; several nieces and nephews.

The family of Mr. Edward “Ed” Ward will receive friends from 2 to 3 pm Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at Carter Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill. The funeral service will follow at 3 pm with Brother Hagan Webb and Brother Luther Russell officiating. Music will be provided by Phil Overbey.
