Nina “Gladys” Goode

Gate City, VA- Gladys Goode, 85, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 4, 2020 with her loved ones by her side.

Gladys was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, going to the farmers market, spending time with family, and attending church at Nottingham United Methodist.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Emma Jennings; sisters, Helen Tomlinson, Ola Faye, and Lola May Jennings; brother, Bobby Jennings; her first husband, Jack Sampson; daughter, Sheila Lynn Glover; son, Glenn Sampson;

Gladys is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Charles Goode; three sisters, Kathy Panek (Walt), Bonnie Sue Payne (Late husband Dave), and lula Jozefowicz (Robert); son, Mark Sampson (Anita); daughters, Marlene Frye (Roger) and Sandy Holloway; along with 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A remembrance of life service will be held for the family at a later date.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Holston Valley Medical Center for their care.
