Obituary of Helen Marie Lawson

Helen Marie Lawson, 94, of Church Hill, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020.

Helen was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Fannie Cradic Dobbs.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Creed Lawson; one daughter, Carolyn Rhoton and several siblings.

She leaves behind two daughters, Kathy Johnson (Hugh Jarvis) and Brenda Blizzard (Johnny), five grandchildren, Regina Dingus (Larry) Travis Rhoton (Erik), John Johnson, Leah Buchanan (Michael), and Chelsi Jones (Randy), eight great-grandchildren, a sister, Hazel Burton, and several nieces and nephews.

The family of Helen Marie Lawson will receive friends from 11 am to 12 pm Friday, January 10, 2020, in the Carter Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill. The funeral service will follow at 12 pm with Rev. Greg Fletcher officiating. The graveside committal service will follow in the Hawkins County Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Randy Jones, Michael Buchanan, John Johnson, Nikolas Dingus, Travis Rhoton and Johnny Blizzard.
