Obituary of Clara Mae Quesenberry
Clara Mae Bolt Quesenberry, 98, of Kingsport, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at the Wexford House.
She was a native of Sylvatus, Virginia. Clara was the daughter of the late Hiram and Ida Gates Bolt.
She was a graduate of Sylvatus High School and James Madison College. She taught school in Montpelier, Virginia, Pulaski, Virginia and Kingsport.
She was a member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-one years, Friel Aaron Quesenberry; brothers, French, Edwin and Harold Bolt.
Survivors include one son, Richard Friel Quesenberry; one daughter, Sharon Quesenberry Flowers; grandsons, Joshua Dennie Flowers and Leon ”JJ” Palmer and his wife Ashlie; great granddaughters, Ava, Bleigha and Coral Palmer; nephews, French Edward Bolt, Jr. and his wife Carolyn, Chris Martin and his wife Andra and Jack Martin and his wife Teresa; a number of great cousins and Quesenberry-in-laws.
The family of Clara Mae Bolt Quesenberry will receive friends from 10 to 11 am Saturday, January 11, 2020, in the Carter Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 11 am with Rev. Jack Edwards officiating. The graveside will follow at M.O. Quesenberry Cemetery.
