Obituary of Norma Lee Allen

Mrs. Norma Lee Allen, 85, of Church Hill, passed away Wednesday, January, 8, 2020, at her residence.

Norma was born in Scott County, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late William and Nannie Mariah Gilliam Bloomer.

Norma had twenty-five years of service with Eastman Kodak Company. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and quilting.

In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband of forty-six years, Sidney Allen; two brothers, Elmer and Clyde Bloomer.

Survivors include two sisters, Vesta Fritz and Loretta Castell; one brother, Jay Bloomer and his wife Jeanette; several nieces and nephews.

The family of Norma Lee Allen will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Monday, January 13, 2020, in the Carter Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill. The funeral service will follow at 7 pm with Evangelist Gary Hood officiating. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 11 am Tuesday, in the Church Hill Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 am Tuesday.
