I worked at Kingston Center in Duffield years ago & Sandy was my buddy, she brightened my days there. When her sugar was good she always wanted a diet pop & I'd get her one. My prayers and thoughts are with all her loved ones.

I met Sandy while I was working at the Kingston Center. She was sweet and friendly. She always told me she loved me and I told her I loved her as well. She colored me a lot of coloring pages. That was one of her favorite things to do. I still have the pages she colored for me. I will miss her and when I think of her I will smile. I love and miss you Sandy!!

I remember taking care of Sandy when I worked at Duffield Adult...she was the sweetest person! I am thankful for the time I had with her & what she taught me. My daughter was born with DS & would sometimes see Sandy walking with Sue & they’d both wave & smile at each other! No greater love ❤️ she will be truly missed by all who knew her!

Our hearts are broken and it was so hard to let you go. But we didn't have a vote in that, God took you when he knew that your little body could not overcome all the medical issues that you had. You had a lot of challenges in your life...some you overcame but some you were never able to deal with. You were afraid of so many things that most people are not afraid of, but it was very real to you. When you asked me if we would take you to the beach so you could see the ocean, I told you unless you would go up steps that I couldn't take you. Guess what?? You did it...and so we kept our promise, we took you to Charleston to the beach and to wade in the ocean. We didn't stop there, we also took you to Florida and rode you on wave runners. For some reason, in spite of all your fears, you loved to ride the "motorcycles on water" as you called them. During these last 2 days so many people have told us how lucky you were to have us...but little do they know, we were lucky to have you. I always said that you were our "perfect" child and never asked for anything but for us to love you. I love you with all my heart and am so honored to have been part of your life.
