Obituary of Erma Lee Hill

Knoxville – Erma Lee Hill, 92 of Knoxville, formerly of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at North Knoxville Medical Center following a brief illness. As a young girl, Erma was saved in a home prayer meeting and was always active in her local churches from the time of her marriage until her death. She was actively anticipating seeing her Savior Jesus Christ. While living in Kingsport, she and her family were a vital part of the Morrison City Mission Church. During her years in Knoxville, she attended Beaver Dam Baptist Church.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Clyde Hill.

 

Erma is survived by her daughter, Brenda H. Miller and husband Ed; son, Kenneth Hill and wife Janet; grandchildren, Nathan Miller and wife Ashley, Lee-Anna Thomas and husband Rocky, Matthew Hill and wife Amanda, Timothy Hill and wife Charity, Lydia Martinez and husband Geovanni,; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Abigail and Daniel Hill, Gavyn Etter and Hudson Hill, Presley Miller, Jon Thomas, Bella and Camilla Martinez; brother Carl Y. Harless and wife Barbara; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 pm Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Scott County Funeral Home.

 

A celebration of life service will follow at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with her son, Dr. Kenneth Hill and brother-in-law, Pastor Joe Hill officiating. Music will be provided by Friendship Chapel Quartet.

 

Following the funeral service, burial will take place in Holston View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ed Miller, Matthew Hill, Timothy Hill, Nathan Miller, Geovanni Martinez and Gavyn Etter. Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Lawson, Donnie Mann and Rocky Thomas.
