Obituary of Jo Anna Leftwich

Kingsport – Jo Anna Leach Leftwich,   of Kingsport entered into eternal rest on April 7, 2020. She was retired from the Sullivan County System and First Broad Street Child Care. Jo was  a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Joanna was preceded in death by her parents, French E. Leach and Berry M. Rexrode; five sisters and three brothers.

She is survived by her husband, Richard (Rick) Leftwich; daughter, Melissa D. (Missy) and husband Greg Quillen; sons Jackson L. (Jackie) and wife Vicki Surgenor Leftwich; grandchildren, Courtney L. Smith, Austin D. Leftwich and Cheyenne A. Patrick and husband Peyton, Katelyn Quillen, and Ethan Quillen; brothers, James “Jim” Leach, Frank L. and wife Barbara Leach, Paul R. Leach, Bruce C. and wife Patsy Leach, Richard and wife Julie Leach; sisters, Mrs. Otis (Pauline) Gibson, Mrs. Don (Joy) Blair, Mrs. Ethel Hendricks; her special great-grandchild who she never got to meet, Everett Jo Patrick;  special friends, Tom and Peggy Jayne, Damon and Pat Boggs, Faye Overbay and Friend in Chapter C. Motorcyle Group, along with a host of  nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Due to the current circumstances with COVID-19 all services will be private. A celebration of life service will be conducted at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
