Obituary of Ransey Kee "Jr." McClain

Mr. Ransey Kee “Jr.” McClain, 66, of Blountville, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020, at the Holston Valley Medical Center.

Jr. was a lifelong resident of Blountville. He was the son of the late Ransey and Natalie Godsey McClain.

Jr. retired from the Kingsport Press after thirty-one years of service. He was described by everyone who knew him as a kind soul. He enjoyed riding his Four Wheeler, NASCAR and working Sudoku puzzles.

In addition to his parents, Jr. was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Douglas McClain and Paul Lee McClain; one sister, Bonnie Ann.

Survivors include one brother, Robert Wayne McClain; one sister, Kate Walters; several nieces and nephews; three special friends, Harrison and Kristie Pippin  and Penny Taylor.

It was Jr’s wishes to be cremated.
