Charles Frazier

Obituary of Charles "Charlie" Richard Frazier

On Thursday, April 30, 2020 Charles (Charlie) Richard Frazier Sr., devoted husband and father of two sons went to be with the Lord at age 89 at his home, with family.

Charlie was born on July 6th, 1930 in the Fairview community of Scott County and moved to Upper Possum Creek where he was friends with many who live there. He met and married the late Beatrice Fields on May 29th, 1954. They were married 47 years and raised two sons together. He married his loving wife Beth on December 16th, 2006.

Charlie worked in heavy equipment operation and wholesale distribution. He enjoyed community events and playing “Rook” with his community friends. As a long-time member of Christ Fellowship Church in Kingsport, TN, he was a greeter with the Host Team Ministry. He was especially proud of assisting with the move of the church from Donelson Drive to the current location. He attended Yuma Ruritan, Yuma Senior Citizens, Christ Fellowship Prime-timers and Saturday night auctions faithfully, and Kermit Craft Club lunches. His love for Jesus and other people was shown through greeting someone with a smile and an open hand. Charlie had a love for heavy equipment and was a skilled operator. Until the time of his death, he could be seen on his lawn mower keeping his yard fully groomed. He was especially happy when his son Rick would join him on the farm to harvest the hay or maintain the equipment. Charlie loved his 4 rescue cats.

Charlie is preceded in death by his late wife Beatrice Fields Frazier, and parents Richard and Margaret Frazier, sister Ruby Rhoton, and brother Roy (Pidge) Frazier, and an infant brother Harem Edward.
