Obituary of James G. Austin, Jr.

James G. Austin, Jr., 89, of Kingsport, passed away on Sunday May 3, 2020.

He was a faithful member of Lynn Garden Baptist Church. He served in the Air Force for four years.

He is survived by his wife Virginia Austin, son, Stephen Austin; daughters, Dolores Osborne and Janet Austin; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters.

A special recognition for our children for the tender love they showed him and especially the hands on care of Dolores and Janet. We are grateful for all the people God sent to help in his care through the years he was with us.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice for the faithful care they provided for Jim and his family.

A private graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Rick Meade officiating.
