Obituary of Jorita Kay Ball

Kingsport – Jorita Kay Ball, 78 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at the residence of her son following a lengthy illness. She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Bailey and Ethel Place; sisters, Reva Cupp, Opal Bailey; brother, Charles Bailey, Jr.

Jorita is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Hubert Ball; daughters, Kay Smith and Linda Frye (Brian); sons, Steve Ball (Kathy) and James Ball; grandchildren, Kay McKenzie, Connie Graybeal (Jimmy) and Andy Frye (Kelly); several great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister, Nadine Prater; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12-2 pm Monday, May 11, 2020 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home with a funeral service following at 2 pm in the chapel with Pastor Mike Anglin officiating.

Burial will follow in Depews Chapel Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
