Obituary of Katherine Ann Barrett

Katherine Ann Barrett, 64, of Church Hill, passed away Monday, July 13, 2020, in the Holston Valley Medical Center.

Katherine was a lifelong resident of Church Hill. She was the daughter of John Patterson and the late Lois Smith Patterson.

In addition to her mother, Katherine was preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years, Roy Lee Barrett, Jr.; one daughter, April Eve Barrett.

Survivors include her father, John Patterson; one son, Greg Barrett and his wife Christie; one beloved sister, Patricia Sloan; two brothers, Mark Patterson and his wife Jennifer and Danny Patterson and his wife Leta; three grandchildren, Hailey Barrett, Hannah Barrett and Jamie Bates; two great grandchildren, Jaxson Byington and Blaikley Byington; several nieces and nephews.

The graveside committal service for Katherine Ann Barrett will be conducted at 5 pm Wednesday in the Goshen Valley Cemetery with Pastor Lyons Smith officiating. Family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 4:50 pm Wednesday.
