Obituary of Loren Dale Core

Loren D. Core, 74, of Duffield, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on September 8, 2020.

Loren was the son of G. Richard and Vera Gratz Core whom preceded him in death. He was born Oct. 18, 1945. Loren was a graduate of Bluffton High School and had a long career of traveling as a journeyman lineman with numerous electrical companies before retirement. Loren was known by his family and friends as having such a great sense of humor and being a loving, caring, and thoughtful man. 

Survivors include children, Travis Core of Roseburg, Oregon, Amy Ludwig of Arizona City, Arizona, Brien Core of California, Darran Core of Arizona, Byron Core of Snowflake, Arizona; eight grandchildren and two great-grand child; beloved life partner, Janice Murphy; sisters, Linda Kramer of Lakeview, Ohio, Louise Morvay of Irmo, South Carolina, and a brother, Larry, of Bluffton, Ohio. 

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Scott County Funeral Home. A reception will follow for family and friends at the funeral home.
