Lisa Harrell

Obituary of Lisa Gaye Harrell

Lisa Gaye Burke Harrell, 54, went peacefully to meet the Lord on April 11, 2021. She is now resting, pain-free, after many years of standing up to Breast Cancer.

Lisa grew up and resided in Kingsport, a home she loved. She served in the United States Marine Corps, became a preschool teacher, and then earned her degree in nursing where she found her most beloved work. In 2018, Lisa pursued a lifelong dream and became a flight attendant.

Lisa was the best mother, MiMi, aunt, and friend one could have. She loved her people unconditionally and spent her life devoted to others. Her love and acceptance of all is admired by many.

Lisa is survived by her sons, Brett and Nathan; daughter, Macy; grandchildren, Cash and Lilliana; sister Karen; nieces Erika and Makenlei; Aunt, Terry; daughter-in-laws, Sarah and Hannah; and a long list of cousins, nieces, nephews, and an abundance of friends.

Lisa went to Heaven’s gates where she is now reunited with her beloved mother, Linda; father, Franklin; and grandmother, Edith.

Lisa honored above all else, the notion that everyone should just be kind to one another. Live and love like Lisa. Be fabulous, be kind, laugh as loudly as you can, and go to the beach every chance you get.

We invite you to come celebrate the life of Lisa on Saturday, April 17. We will receive family and friends from 4-6pm. We welcome all to stay and spend time with one another afterward where we will share stories and good times to honor Lisa. Meet us at New Fellowship Ministries at 614 Old Stage Rd, Church Hill.

Flowers can be sent to Carter-Trent Funeral Home. If you feel compelled to help, donations will be accepted by the family to help cover the cost of services.

Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown, Kingsport is serving the Harrell family.
