Obituary of Laura "Liz" Elizabeth McMillian

 

Laura “Liz” Elizabeth McMillian, age 76, of Kingsport, born January 5, 1945 went to be with the lord on Sunday the 18th day of April 2021 with family by her side. Liz was a member of Clay Hill Freewill Baptist Church.

Liz married the love of her life Billy Ray McMillian on the 17th day of April 1997 Bill and Liz spent many happy years together traveling and exploring new places. In her spare time Liz enjoyed spending time with family, watching soap operas and drinking diet cokes.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill McMillian; her father James Isley Sr.; her mother, Rosa Robinson Isley; brother, James Isley Jr.; son, Harold McMillian; and great-grandson Layton Cross

She is survived by her daughters, Nita Rushing, Charlene Towler, Lisa Depew (George), Donna Uzzell (Dale), Misty Foster (Jack); sons, Don Galloway, David Galloway, Steve McMillian, Scott McMillian; grandchildren, David (Miranda), Michael (Katie), Cassie (Austin), Laura (Julian), William (Mindy), Jordan (Sarah), Asheley, James, Shana, Dakota, Rosa. Sister Pearl Swanner (Jessie); brothers, Paul Isley (Freda), Charles Isley (the late Inez), Wayne Isley (Pat); along with 19 Great Grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

 

A graveside service will be conducted at 2pm on Wednesday the 21st day of April 2021 at East Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Scottie Sexton Music will be provided by Dan Moneyhun. Pallbearers will be her wonderful grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be George Depew and Dale Uzzell.

Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:50pm

 

The family will be receiving friends anytime at the residence of Charlene Towler.
