Obituary of Sharon Goss

Kingsport – Sharon Sue Goss, 71 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Holston Valley Medical Center following a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and worked as a CNA in home healthcare. Sharon was of the Apostolic faith.

She was preceded by her first husband, Donald Ray Dingus; granddaughter, Michelle Ann Quesenberry; her parents, Herbert and Ruby New Carter; grandson, Kaleb Marley; sisters, Nannie Fern “Tootsie” Harmon, Treva Wire and Brenda Mae Morelock; brothers, James Lawrence Carter and Robert Lewis Carter.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Willie Goss; daughters, Sarah Qualls (Ronnie) and Ruby McMurray (Cole); son-in-law, John Qualls; step daughter, Dana Dingus; step son, John Lederer; grandchildren Elezibeth Quesenberry, Destiny Qualls, Gunnar Qualls, Kenzie Sky Qualls and Kyndra Marley; great-grandchildren, Raylin, Jayden, Bradien, Zander, Alicya, Kayda, and Noah; step-granddaughter, Tiea Dingus; brother, Gerald Lynn Carter; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel with Bro Tony Hobbs officiating.

A special thank you goes to her caregivers Holly Doran and Angel Doran.
